The Returning
A Monthly Nervous System Reset + Embodiment Circle with Erin McKeon
Sunday, July 20th, 10 am - 1 pm, Sliding Scale ($60 suggested)
There’s a place inside each of us that remembers.
Remembers rest. Rhythm. Connection.
Remembers how to return to the body—not as a project to fix, but as a source of wisdom and wonder.
The Returning is a monthly mini-retreat—a space to regulate, restore, and reimagine what it means to be well in a world that often asks us to override our bodies.
We practice together not to escape life, but to meet it with more presence.
Through gentle somatic movement, Organic Intelligence® principles, felt-sense meditations, and deep group witnessing, we invite the nervous system to soften its grip… and remind ourselves we are not alone.
“Safety is not the absence of threat, but the presence of connection.” – Gabor Maté
And this circle is a relationship—a community, a tether, a ritual of remembering.

What is Organic Intelligence® (OI)?
Organic Intelligence® (OI) is a somatic-based framework developed by Steve Hoskinson that blends neuroscience, trauma theory, and somatic psychology to help individuals understand and regulate their nervous system. OI focuses on the body’s natural ability to heal and return to a state of balance. At its core, OI is about recognizing and working with the body’s wisdom, which is essential for emotional resilience, trauma recovery, and overall well-being.
What is OI Labs?
OI Labs are experiential learning environments where participants engage deeply with Organic Intelligence® principles. These labs provide hands-on experiences designed to help individuals tune into their bodies, restore nervous system balance, and develop emotional resilience. The labs are ideal for both personal and professional growth, as they provide the space for self-exploration and real-time practice of the OI framework.
“I came to somatic healing not just as a professional bodyworker with years of experience, but as a mother on the verge of burnout. Between raising two children, navigating hormonal changes, and trying to keep up with the pace of life—I realized I didn’t need more “thinking” or “figuring out”, I needed restoration. My body was screaming for attention, and that’s when I discovered the power of sensory awareness and somatic presence.”
Erin McKeon has been a dedicated student of body-oriented practices since her teens, but her deeper dive into somatic healing began as a personal quest. Amid the challenges of motherhood, work, shifting relationships, and her own health and hormonal fluctuations, she reached a breaking point—a period of deep burnout fueled by societal expectations. What emerged was a profound need to reconnect with herself, not through intellect, but through the body.
As an experienced massage therapist, yoga and mindfulness teacher, and women’s transformational coach specializing in sensory integration and trauma-informed care, Erin was already familiar with how sensory processing impacts well-being. But it was through her own somatic journey that she discovered how somatic coaching uniquely engages the sensory system to regulate the nervous system. This insight not only reshaped her personal healing—it ignited a passion to weave this powerful approach into her client work and build a community rooted in resilience, presence, and hope in times of transition in our world today.
In today’s fast-paced world, where stressors are constant and overwhelming, our sensory and nervous systems often become dysregulated, leading to anxiety, disconnection, and burnout. Somatic coaching offers a path back to balance by restoring our relationship with the body. When we learn to tune into our senses and our environment, we begin to cultivate deeper self-awareness, emotional regulation, and lasting well-being —reminding us of the deep, holistic power we hold within.
