As the intensity of high summer begins to wane and we prepare for the gentle transition into autumn, we invite you to join our Group Acupuncture and Qigong Circle, a special gathering focused on the Chinese medicine phase of Earth. This 2-hour session is designed to harmonize our bodies and minds with the unique energy of late summer, nurturing our spleen and stomach and offering tools to support our well-being during this pivotal time.
We’ll begin with a brief and informal discussion on the energy of late summer and how it relates to the Earth phase in Chinese medicine.
Learn about the spleen and stomach’s roles in our health, and how this transitional period influences us mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Following our discussion, we will engage in qigong exercises specifically chosen to balance the Earth element within us.
These movements are gentle, meditative, and designed to cultivate internal harmony and stability.
Emily will provide acupuncture focused on supporting and balancing the Earth phase in your body.
We will finish up by enjoying a simple yet nourishing herbal tea blend made from herbs that support the Earth network.
This soothing beverage will complement the healing practices of the evening, enhancing your experience and well-being.
The Earth phase governs the Spleen and Stomach, which are crucial for the digestive process. The Spleen is responsible for transforming food into Qi (vital energy) and blood, and for transporting these nutrients throughout the body. The Earth phase is linked to thought and contemplation. A balanced Earth element helps maintain mental clarity and focus. When the Earth phase is imbalanced, it can lead to excessive worry and overthinking. Just as the Earth provides the foundation for life and growth, the Earth phase in TCM supports and nourishes the body, ensuring that it has the resources needed to function properly.
Join us to deepen your understanding of the Earth phase and its influence on your well-being during late summer, experience the synergistic effects of Qigong and acupuncture, promoting both physical and emotional balance, and enjoy a seasonal herbal tea that supports your digestive network and overall energy.
Spaces are limited to ensure a personalized experience. Please register in advance to secure your place in this event.
