5/14: Hypnosis and Handwork for Healing Trauma

Many types of trauma can lurk deep within us . . . from childhood experiences, accidents, separations, and other forms of painful experiences. Some of us also carry ancestral trauma passed down through our DNA. Often these are buried deep down; when left unresolved they can bubble up at times of stress in our lives.

Did you know that productive hand-making such as knitting, sewing, beading, scribbling, crocheting, or playing with clay is a proven way to release trauma hidden deep inside the psyche? Participants will learn how gentle repetitive hand motions combined with hypnotic suggestions can ease and reduce feelings of trauma.

Hypnosis is a peaceful and private way to resolve and release trauma.  The handwork is not about making something beautiful or precious – it is about combining a productive motion with a product.  Please bring a simple project, sketchbook and pencil/pen. Some materials will be provided if you do not know what to bring.

Harness the power of your subconscious mind and begin to change!

Kate Rogovin, C.Ht. began her career as a woven textile designer - fascinated by how individual

interlocking threads can create a strong and solid fabric with infinite variations of pattern and

color. Just like a tapestry, metaphorical threads connect your conscious and subconscious mind.  And like the creation of a piece of art, her hypnosis sessions are individually tailored to your needs; mixing the ingredients of your life to help bring healing and resolution to your problems and dilemmas.

Hypnosis is a process of relaxing your body and opening your subconscious mind to suggestions for positive change. It is a naturally occurring state that almost everyone can access. These group and private sessions can offer relief for many common issues such as anxiety, IBS symptoms, fertility support, goal manifestation, weight loss, artistic blocks, self-confidence, behavior changes/modifications, and more.

Her clients include art/design professionals, entrepreneurs, sales professionals, and people who are interested in personal growth through the hypnotic process. She is committed to helping others access their own inner resources to create the changes they need to live comfortable, happy, and productive lives.

Kate lives in Ellenville, NY, and is an artist, spinner, and textile enthusiast. She is also a passionate collector of mysterious found objects.
