The Deep Quiet
Group Qigong & Acupuncture Circle with Emily Morrison
12/14 I 10 am - 12 pm I $45
Join us for a transformative two-hour Qigong and acupuncture circle honoring the Winter Solstice and rooted in the Five Phases Theory of Chinese medicine. Winter represents the Water phase, embodying a season of stillness, introspection, and deep rest. Water governs the Kidney and Urinary Bladder channels, which hold our most essential life force and connect us to the feelings of survival and fear, reminding us of the need for resilience and courage.
The Kidneys, as the "root of life," are the wellspring of our core energy and the storehouse of our willpower. Winter, with its connection to Water, brings the perfect time to reflect on our inner strength, face any fears, and find the grounding we need to feel safe and resilient. In the quiet depths of this season, we are encouraged to embrace stillness and go within, uncovering a sense of calm that helps us navigate life’s challenges with clarity and strength.
Through a meditative Qigong practice, we will focus on movements that open and support the Kidney and Urinary Bladder channels, fostering the release of any lingering tension or fear. These gentle, flowing movements help stabilize our emotions and align us with the powerful essence of winter's energy.
The session continues with an acupuncture circle, where specific points will be used to harmonize the Water phase, release stored fear, and support the Kidneys and Bladder. This practice will restore balance, replenish our vital reserves, and encourage a deep inner calm, helping us face challenges with renewed strength and a grounded sense of trust.
This circle is a safe space open to all, whether you're new to these practices or looking to deepen your experience. We will close the circle with an in-house herbal tea blend made of Chinese herbs that support the Water phase as we come together to honor winter's stillness, connect to the Water element, and cultivate the resilience and peace that sustains us through every season.
