Autumn Refinement

Autumn Refinement -Group Acupuncture & Qigong Circle with Emily Morrison

Saturday, 9/21 I 4-6pm I $45

The Metal phase symbolizes structure, clarity, and the ability to cut through unnecessary elements in life. It emphasizes the importance of boundaries, organization, and the capacity to let go of what no longer serves us, whether it be physical waste, emotions, or outdated beliefs.

The Lungs manage respiration, Qi distribution, moisture balance, and defense against pathogens. Emotionally tied to grief, weak lungs can lead to respiratory and immune issues. The Large Intestine eliminates waste, embodying the Metal phase's theme of letting go, and plays a crucial role in detoxification and emotional release. Imbalances may cause digestive and skin problems.

We’ll begin with a brief and informal discussion on the energy of Falland how it relates to the Metal phase in Chinese medicine.

  • Learn about the lungs and large intestine’s roles in our health, and how this period influences us mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.

  • Following our discussion, we will engage in qigong exercises specifically chosen to balance the Metal phase within us.

    • These movements are gentle, meditative, and designed to cultivate internal discernment and release.

  • Emily will provide acupuncture focused on supporting and balancing the Meral phase in your body.

  • We will finish up by enjoying a simple yet nourishing herbal tea blend made from herbs that support the Metal network.

    • This soothing beverage will complement the healing practices of the evening, enhancing your experience and well-being.

Balancing the Metal phase through practices like Qigong and acupuncture can help enhance the function of the Lungs and Large Intestine, leading to improved respiratory health, better digestion, emotional release, and overall well-being. The Metal phase invites us to take a deep breath, reflect on what we need to release and embrace the clarity and lightness that come from letting go.
