Come sing and get into your Heart! We will be joining together to sing with our hearts and tune into “What does our heart say?”. This is a family song circle for young people, parents/caregivers, and friends to sing together. Bring a drum, shaker, or instrument if you have one, and we’ll have a bunch to share if you don’t. We’ll use our voices, breathe, improvise, move, shake and create collaborative interactive songs as well as sing tried and true favorites. All ages welcome.

Lissi Erwin is an intuitive visual artist and art director who recently has been known to play an elk medicine drum and raise a ruckus in singing circles for adults and children. A music fan and creator of many playlists, her recent passion is leading women into the woods to find their song. She believes in music as the universal language and in its power to manifest and heal. She sees both music and art in essence as a channeling process that anyone can access once they open up the creative channel through use of their voice.

Shira Newmark is a progressive early childhood educator and mindfulness/heartfulness facilitator and presenter. A creative writer, dancer, yogi, percussionist, singer-songwriter and beatboxing, whistling freestyler, Shira fuses the arts into her teaching practice in a uniquely powerful way. From her early days as a "Special Education Itinerant Teacher" to becoming a founding teacher at Blue School, recognized as one of the most innovative schools in the world (and named “Blue School” as it was birthed by the Blue Man Group), Shira is dedicated to nurturing children's creativity, wonder, hearts and social emotional growth. Shira created Love Club to scale this work around the world, empowering young activists as co-creators of the organization's impact in opening and sharing our hearts to benefit ourselves, one another and the world around us.
