Yin Yoga with Morgan Dashko

Thursday, April 4th I $20

In this class, we will aim to connect to our body, mind, and spirit by holding poses aimed at releasing, stretching, and enlivening the connective tissues of the body for 1-5 minutes at a time. The slow pace and held postures allow us time to connect to what exists in the present moment: physically, emotionally, and mentally. In this safe, supported space, we are asked to connect deeply to our breath, meet our edge, find stillness, and approach everything with the perspective of a mindful observer. Through this curiosity and openness, we are able to connect to an innate sense of stillness, calm, and peace. This practice is informed by yogic philosophy and Chinese medicine; it is suitable for all ages, experiences, and body types. For questions about this class, please feel free to email Morgan at morgan.dashko@gmail.com

Morgan began practicing yoga in 2011 while in college, seeking stress and anxiety relief. After attending her first class, she became enamored with the vinyasa and power flow styles, initiating a mostly daily practice. Completing a 200-hour RYT training in 2013, she has been teaching ever since. Over time, she shifted towards gentle flow and yin styles, recently finishing a 30-hour yin training at Stone Wave Studio in Gardiner in May 2023.

She wholeheartedly believes in yin's ability to guide individuals toward their wise teacher, divine path, and personal healing. Her life, both on and off the mat, is shaped by meditation practice, a profound awe and love of life, and a desire to connect with the world around her. When not engaged in practice or guiding classes, Morgan can be found dabbling in homesteading-type activities or on a farm. She expresses gratitude to Emily and Felicia for welcoming her and is excited to be a part of the VSAIA community.
